Thoughts from the Ships XO
As Comrade Brenneman assumes the seat as Ship's Captain, I wanted to thank everyone for
the support you have given me, and I am positive that you will continue
to support me as I bring in fresh ideas and enthusiasm for
continuing to grow and improve our Ship.
- If you have not been to the Ship recently, you may have missed the work
going on in the back yard area. This biggest is the construction of the
covered patio. The concrete pad has been poured, and soon the patio
cover will start being installed. This project was a long time in the
making, but now we are nearing completion.
- The Ship recent faced some significant unplanned maintenance issues,
and we were very fortunate to have several members donate their time
and labor in helping correct these issues, such as replacing the
condenser for the walk-in cooler and replacing some very old circuit
breakers that had they gone much longer, would have created even
larger problems.
Volunteers have always been the life blood of service organizations,
and we have some of the best! But we could always use some more.
Even if all you can donate is an hour a month, every little bit helps.
As
Captain Brenneman said in his page, we have a list of "Ship’s Needs” posted
on the bulletin board. Take a look at the list, and if there is anything
you can help with, even just helping others, then please do. Together
we can make great things happen!
